THE LOW GROUND
FOR TEAM EMCO AT KNOCKHILL IN SCOTLAND.
Venturing north
of the border has always been a lottery with
the weather and this weekend was no exception.
Dry practice went without a hitch, but as
qualifying approached it became clear that
was all about to change..... and change it
did. With most teams going straight out of
the pits on qualifiers. Three laps later
and the heavens opened and torrential rain
hit the circuit. Stuart Higgs made the decision
to allow all riders to qualify based on there
practice times, so that put an end to the
day. Race day was more of the same, with
only a couple of classes not being cancelled.
Superbike remained and at full race distance!
With the circuit officials doing their best
to clear the standing water and mud from
across the track, some teams pulled out.
Team Emco's Neil Faulkner took to the grid,
but it wasnt to be with, an electrical fault,
caused by the amount of water, causing the
bike to cut out on the first lap in both
races.
