ITV Sport and all the Industry Media present for the first Official British Superbike Test.

Team Emco/NSF Racing were out for the first official test of the season in their impressive new colours.

All of the major teams in the championship were in one place for the first time this season, and were able to see just how well their pre-season testing had gone in the run up to the opening round at Brands Hatch.

Depite very mixed weather conditions and high winds, the pace was quickly up to almost lap record speed.

Team rider Neil Faulkner said, "it was good to finally mix it on track with the established guys and see exactly where we are. The weather didnt help much but it was the same for everone. We didnt carry a transponder but from our datalogging times, we would have finished second fastest privateer. It did show up a few areas that we need to work on though, which is exactly what we wanted from the test. I would have been extremely surprised if the bike had been perfect straight out of the box!"
